Hi all, My windshield washer tank has been empty for a while. When I tried to add fluid into it, I found it's full of ants now. What should I do to get rid of them? Many thanks! Weipeng

Huh! I can quit now that I've heard it all Clearly you need an anteater............... Just kidding. If container is easy to get out then take it out and hose the thing clear out soap and water. If not take off exit hose or motor and hose if that's where pump is and just run water thru it till clear. Seriously I don't know how that happened as you should be using washer fluid even if diluted for off season. Blue stuff is fine and contains usually methyl alcohol as both a cleaner and an antifreeze which will lose its antifreeze ability if not fresh. Use something as plain water is NG for the long run. Insects will NOT want any mix of fluid I know of sold for such use, T

Most of these washer fluid pumps are just sealed in with a grommet and can be removed. I would pull the tank, pull the motor and flush it out. Put it back together and make sure to keep washer fluid in it from now on. I don't think ants will like a tank with fluid in it.
