Okay I'm really confused here. I just bought this truck from a family friend.. (different state, rather not talk to the guy..) ever since i got this car i noticed that there is no over head light, so I put one in the other day. All the doors were closed and no option to turn light off or on, but as soon as i put the bulb in it went on.... I went to each door messing with the little sensors, it still will remain on. The only way I can get it to turn off is if I take it out. I don't know what it can be. I'm really hoping its not a short or something. Thanks for the replies

I'm near certain there's a delay for interior light when doors are closed they stay on a couple minutes. Wait longer.

There should be an "overide" button near dimmer to leave them off - at least some do that. I don't think you can bypass the delayed lighting thing that easily - just wait and see how long they take but do make sure they do go out,

Another thing to check: The rheostat that you turn to raise or dim the instrument cluster illumination, if turned all the way to bright, then just a bit more, will turn on the cabin light.

It ended up being the front passenger door sensor. I'm sure this isn't the last you're going to hear from me. lol
