Ways to improve gas mileage?

I posted a few weeks ago on this subject:
'02 Olds Alero 4 cylinder with 130k miles I'm getting 14-15 MPG on short trips--average trip 3-5 miles. Any ideas on how to improve by 2-3 MPG's?
-I weigh 260
-Tire pressures at 35. Should I increase to 38?
-Probably hasn't been tuned in a couple years but starts up easy, idles slightly rough if not blown out on highway weekly and runs perfect out on the road
Plugs, air filter, pcv filter, fuel filter perhaps? Upgrade air filter perhaps.
Or just plain live with it?
