Water bubbles out of coolant reservoir when turning car off Sign In

I have a 2006 PT Cruiser.
2.4L Engine
133,000 miles

This is a pretty recent issue that has started. While driving, my car does fine but as soon as I turn the car off, water will bubble out of the coolant reservoir. I have replaced the thermostat and radiator cap but the problem is still persisting. The car still runs very smoothly, no milky oil or white smoke coming out of the exhaust and it is not running hot. I can't figure out what to do and how to get this problem to stop.

Are the radiator fans operational? Couple of things that could cause that would be if the coolant was boiling or there are combustion gasses being pushed into the coolant system.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
