Vss question Sign In
I'm replacing the Vss on my 2000 ford escort zx2. It has a 2.2ltr engine in it. Would I still be able to use the stock Vss. Or will the difference in volume affect it?

...I'm replacing the Vss(input speed sensor) on my car. The stock engine is a 2.0 ltr. However the previous owner, replaced it with a 2.2 ltr engine. Now can I use the stock part for the 2.0, or will a larger engine affect how the sensor works.?

The engine size doesn't matter. It's the transaxle and PCM programming that matters. The question is, were either of them changed or modified?
