Then the little attachment on both of them necessary to hook it on a keychain broke off both of them. Needless to say it was quite annoying to carry a key around separately in your pocket, and I ended up losing one of them. Anyway I drilled a small hole through the remaining key case and ran some wire through it in order to attach it to a key chain (without hitting any of the innards), The problem now is that I have to be real close to the car in order for the key to actually unlock the door remotely. Is there something in the car that would maybe be responsible (a transmitting receiver maybe) for this or is it definitely the key only.
