I have a passat TDI 2000 plate 125k
The car jolts when shifting gears 1st to 2nd but seems to be ok going up other gears?
Is it the transmittion Fluid?
Also has a thumping noise under the car when driving over bumps on the road?
Any ideas?

Check but probably not transmission fluid.
This could be broken mounts for engine and trans and should be ruled out at least,
