Hey guys!

I own a 1991 Chevy Z71 4x4 with a 5.7 liter 350 motor Automatic.

Here a while back when I came out to start my truck after work, it wouldn't. I had it towed home and here's what it does:

When you turn the key over, it does NOTHING....Lights are on, the buzzer for opening the door is on, but turning the ignition does nothing....it doesn't dim the lights, it doesnt make ANY sound of what so ever, it's almost as if the truck is in gear when you turn it...As nothing at all happens.

I've replaced the battery...I had it towed to a shop to put in a new starter and check fuses, and I just put in a new NSS...NONE of which did anything...I'm fresh out of ideas

Good possibility of corroded cables, either end. Also possibly an ignition switch out of adjustment or going bad.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Get a test light and check the small wire on the starter while someone tries to start the truck. If light lights up, chack for voltage at the small wire. If light does not light up, check for fusible links aroind starter and across the front of the intale. These are wires with a smaller wire inside. Use test light on each side of hump in wire, Should have current on both sides. If all those are good, then check the switch.
