Trouble starting car Sign In

Hi,

we have a new Hyundai i30 SLX ULP. Have only had it for 6 months, and have only just done 1400km's (have had our 1000km service)
We only drive short distances on Saturday and Sundays and we don't use the car at all during the week.
This morning when I went to use the electric key to unlock the door, it just made a clicking sound but would not open. Eventually it worked.
then when I tried to start the car it just went "tick, tick, tick, tick. After a few tries it did start.
It drove fine to the shopping centre, and when we parked I tried turning the engine on again, and it started first go fine.
After leaving it sit for 3 hours while we went shopping, upon our return we found yet again when we went to start the engine, it just went 'tick, tick, tick, tick.... but once more after a few tries, it started.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?
Given we only drive short distances on the weeken, and leave the car sit for 5 days of the week, could it be the battery isn't charging enough?

Any help wouuld be appreciated.

Re: Trouble starting car Sign In

IT IS BECAUSE OF THE ONCE IN A WHILE USE,USUALLY THE ELECTRICAL AND THE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS WONT UNLESS IT IS USED FREQUENTLY.TRY STARTING THE ENGINE FOR A WHILE EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT PLANNING TO DRIVE IT.
