Hi, there. My beloved 2003 Run-X has been in the shop for a week now as my mechanic tries to pinpoint exactly why it starts and kicks off. The car is acting like the immobilizer code was incorrectly keyed in--starts and dies. We were able to get it going a couple of times just by jiggling the relay fuses, but it quit on me last week, and that's all she wrote. Here's what my mechanic --and a panel of experts ;)-- have tried so far: 1. neutralized the immobilizer and the factory lock 2. tried a new crank sensor 3. tried a new camshaft sensor 4. tried a new computer/antenna/key 5. tried a new fuel pump 6. changed the EFI relay 7. removed and reset the relay integration Any insight or suggestions would be much, much appreciated!

Neutralized the immobilizer? I seriously doubt he could do that. removed and reset the relay integration ??? What exactly is that? "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullSh!t" It sounds like he's using the "swaptronics" diagnostic method. What is the fuel pressure? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
