Tom Greenleaf, Thanks for your quick reply concerning my Hub assembly with Bearings.
The cost the mechanic wants to charge is $150.00 labor for each wheel and an additional $70.00 for each hub assembly total $440.00 plus tax's and other incidental charges they always tack on. It sounds as though this job may be relatively easy if you have a breaker bar,and correct socket. Thanks Ron Knight

I don't recall the car right now - just that it was a Cavalier. Check at AutoZone's parts site and they sometimes give you instructions for a specific car. I don't think these are difficult ones. Like I said though - the air wrench really helps as that axle end car get corroded up and would be real tough to undo with just force whereas air kinds of shatters things like that to loosen.
Also consider that it probably doesn't need both of them. Perhaps just me but if one is good I leave it there. For both to fail would usually be that the car must have had the hubs submerged in water. These bearing are not serviceable - just replacable as a unit. Check out tool rental also if you want to give it a try. Don't forget the caliper could give you a hard time too with whatever Allen or Torx socket they use for that. Hope that helps you some,
