I have a 2003 Toyota Highlander with only 36K miles. V6, runs great, no problems, driven daily for a few miles and now and then on longer trips. Manual says to replace timing belt at 90k or 72 months..is it necesarry to replace belt with only 36K miles? thanks for ur advice!

if its a true timing belt and not a chain, then they should be replaced as preventative maintenance at 75,000 miles. But in your case your owners manual says 90k. I would follow your manual. however, I dont see how the number of months would have anything to do with replacement. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
