When my car is fully warmed up and idling the throttle response isn't 100%. The second you hit the accelerator it takes a split second for the car to react. It doesn't seem right cause it should react instantly. Its fully serviced and I cleaned the map sensor and throttle body. Could it possibly be the flywheel sensor??? Sometimes when I press the accelerator really fast it feels like the car is going to stall just before the power kicks in. Also when driving along is say 4th gear and I drop a gear it again takes a second to react! Anyone any ideas???

I'd also like to know what you used and how you cleaned the MAP sensor.
Is the check engine light coming on?

Its a Toyota Altezza, 2.0l 4cyl. I cleaned the map sensor with electrical cleaner, sprayed it on and it dried itself. No engine light on!

We could guess at the year but it probably wouldn't matter anyway because I don't recognize the model as sold in the US so I wouldn't have any info on it.

Well the year is 1999 (98-05 model). Ok thanks for your reply, I taught it might be a common problem on many different cars. Cheers!
