Temporarily remove antenna from 2005 Toyota Corolla

Hi, I have a question for the season. I am going Christmas tree shopping and will need to put the tree on the roof of my Toyota Corolla (no laughing please..lol). My problem is that the antenna is in the way. On my 2005 Toyota Corolla there is one of those kinda short, permanent antennas at the back of the roof in the center. Before I do anything rash, I thought I would get some expert advice. Do the antennas on these cars just unscrew and screw back on just as easily, or should I start looking for a friend with a truck to take me Christmas tree shopping..lol? Thanks

Okay; I'm not laughing. Seriously, though, if you can someone with a pickup, I'd recommend doing that. Would hate to scratch up a roof. Suppose you could put a blanket or something soft between the tree and the roof, though. Not sure if that antenna will unscrew, but easy enough to check. Is there going to be a present under the tree for me? If so, I've got a pickup. Loren SW Washington
