Temperature Gauge climbs to 3/4 of the way to HOT but never reaches it

I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon 4 cylinder with 65,000 miles and I have noticed over the past few days that the temperature of my car is starting to climb to nearly 3/4 of the way to HOT? I added additional coolant into the reservoir (It was low) but did not notice any changes? I was just wondering what to expect when I bring my car into the shop? Would it be the thermostat or something else?

You have a leak in the system somewhere. The shop is going to have to pressure test it and find out where the coolant is going first.
