Taking Scratches out of Passenger Side Window..Any way to take out? Sign In

Quick question. I think the neighborhood kids were playing around..very young age..and scratched my passenger side window. The kids have been messing with tools in their backyard..hammers, etc..and I am thinking maybe for some reason they tried to sandpaper my car? The scratches are on the passenger side window. I don't want to turn it into my insurance as a vandalism claim if I can prevent that.
I also hate to go accusing neighbors children of stuff if I can't prove it.

Is there any way to take scratches out of a passenger side window or should I just replace it?
It is a 99 Grand Prix.

There are companies that repair scratches in glass.
We had a guy that came to the dealer and repaired/buffed them.
I dont know exactly how its done, but it is possible.

There are companies that sell glass scratch remover for the Diy'er..never used it myself...
I would call some glass shops in your area to see if they do it and for how much.....if its too costly, replace the glass.
Some auto detail shops buff glass scratches as well.

Worth a try...check the yellow pages or even Google....

See what the others say

Let us know how you make out

For what it's worth - tried stuff for eyeglasses on glasses and a windshield - NG - took away appearance of the scratch but simply behaved like clear nail polish for acuity,
