Tacoma 2004 leak Sign In

My tacoma 2004 starts leaking in front right side only a clear viscous fluid mixed with oil quite a few hours only after driving, sometimes not at all. is that power steering fluid? it leaves a stain, so I do not think it is coolant. As I am a novice in this do i try and fix it myself or go straight to a service guy before i destroy the car? Is it a loose nut, bolt etc or something more serious, read expensive?

Have you been underneath the vehicle to see where the leak is coming from?

You may need to remove the skid plate to get a better look.

How about this idea.............. has anyone checked the fluid levels to see which one is low?

Checking your fluid levels takes only a minute to do. I wouldn't wait a few days until it is convenient, just pop the hood and check them. Its a good habit to be checking them fairly regularly anyhow.

Re: Tacoma 2004 leak Sign In

Check levels NOW. Clues from a drip until seen include brake fluid will rinse off with plain water as well as coolant. Power steering, trans, gearcase, engine oil will not,
