Sudden gas consumption on a 3.8L Buick engine Sign In

93 Buick Regal started using quite a bit of gas. Changed catylatic converter and air filter. Also cleaned the MAP sensor. Helped but still using excessive gas for a 3.8L engine. Any ideas. Thanks

Questions: Is it running properly now? How are you monitoring fuel consumption and what was it before and now?

After I changed the plugs and fuel filter it seems to be back to normal. This is After I changed the catylatic converter (which was plugged) and put in the new air filter which was in need of being changed too! The poor old girl was in bad need of some tender lovin care but after being brought back up to date and an oil change too, everything seems to be in good working order now.
