So here's my problem... My car battery cable (+) was loose and I tightened it up on the recommendation of my mechanic. When I did, the car, which originally didn't start, did, but then my hazard lights and radio light began clicking on and off. This continues intermittently, but frequently, whether the car is on or off. I disconnected the battery again, with the idea that I wouldn't drain it until I could take it into the shop (on Monday, after the weekend). While doing so, I dropped the socket wrench I was using by the engine, where it is now resting below on the floor of the car. I can see it down there, but I can't get it. For this, I have two questions: 1. If the car starts tomorrow when I reconnect the battery, can I drive it to the service station with the wrench on the car floor below the engine, under the hood? 2. Any ideas about the blinking hazards and radio? I'm taking it in, but any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks so much for your help. I haven't posted here before but am thankful for any suggestions.

You are going to have to climb underneath the car and get that socket back. No one can say if it's going to hurt anything or not, but prevention is better than solution. Check your relays under the hood in the fuse box. Make sure both flasher cans are in there firmly. Check your battery post. Is there any wires tapped into the ring terminal you have been playing with? Or just straight battery cable?
