My daughter has a 1990 Subaru GL ( I think) She was having problems and my husband figured it to be the heater core. (He has owned several Subarus and always does all the work on them) He bought a heater core and went to replace it today. After he got the housing that contains the heater core out, he opened it up and a some seed like looking things came out of the housing. We have no idea what they are or why they were in there. Any ideas? It was a previously owned car.... This is what was in there.... This is what it came out of....

That's someone's nut storage. I would check around the neighborhood for a tree or something that drops those things. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
