Steering Wheel Removal

I have a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis, V8, 90,000 miles. I am having trouble finding a way to remove the steering wheel. I can't get past the horn/airbag cover. There are 4 holes in the back about the size of a coat hanger wire. I have tried screw drivers, coat hanger wire, and now I am lost. Mike

I hope you realize that can go off and has the potential to kill you............. They are nothing to mess with if you don't know what your doing.
