Hello,
I'm trying to replace a turn signal switch in my 2000 Chevy Silverado. I'm trying to take the lower steering column cover off, but the handle to the tilt wheel mechanism needs to be removed first. How does this handle come off? I don't see a clip or release and don't want to break it.
Any ideas?

I’m not sure either and I can’t remember without seeing it but have a look at this schematic. Maybe screw #14 is its retaining screw that might be accessed through a hole in the lower cover?
