Starting Sign In

Have a 2004 Ford Explorer with a 4.0 engine and 168000 miles. Always starts right away when you hit the key. It starts but is slow doing so lately. Any suggestions?

Yes, do the obvious and have the battery tested.

It cranks fine. Just not the usual quick starting car it was once.
