Hi! I've got a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon, standard transmission, with 110,000 miles on it. It's been sitting for a year in our garage. It won't start, so clearly the battery is dead. Is it safe to try and jump start it, or do I need a new battery from teh get go. I'm trying to sell the thing. Other than disuse, it's in great shape. Please let me know. thanks, chris

if it is the original subaru battery from 95 i would say just replace it since its 13 years old if its newer i would disconnect the battery terminals and put the battery on a charger. __________________________________________________ 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002 Ford Ranger 2004 Toyota Corolla 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1

You could try charging it .. But IMO..I would replace it.. Autozone carries a cheaper line of Batteries,Valuecraft Batteries, that are ideal for installing just to sell the car. My reason, there is nothing that will blow the sale quicker than a car that won't start (in case it doesn't a hold charge) Save yourself the aggrevation and install a cheap new one . Jim
