I was reading the thread of the gentleman with back problems and the same vehicle ('99 Ford Escort ZX2 - 2.0L) as mine. I have been through some diagnosis of my own and have put down a few bucks. I went ahead and gave it a tune up, since it had been a while, and good thing I did. Well, the car started and I drove it approximately 10 miles at highway speed and I got home and turned it off. I replaced the CCRM (had a spare, Good), changed the CSP, Plugs, wires, and Ignition coil. I then proceeded to go on an errand, the vehicle started to stall out badly and didn't get half a block, luckily. There is no MIL and then next thing is a fuel situation. What do you think?

You need to test fuel pressure with a gauge and run a compression test to see if the timing belt has jumped. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Following those 2 procedures, would it still benefit me to get a full electrical diagnosis to see if anything else is wrong! I forgot, I have recently had the timing belt fixed by a mechanic because of a bad idler pulley.

If it's not running, the 1st thing you need to do is to get it running. You can start off with what HT suggested... Check the inertia switch for the fuel pump in the truck to make sure it didn't get tripped.

I want to thank both of you gentlemen for your help with this dilemma. I now have some other avenues of troubleshooting, I'll give these all a shot before I spend any more cash. I will hopefully inform you of any success. Thanks again.
