Side mirror in plastic molding for Honda Odyssey Sign In

We need to replace the passenger side mirror on a 2001 Honda Odyssey. We only need the mirror glass in the frame (or plastic molding), the housing that's attached to the car, along with the electronic mechanism are all intact.

Is it possible to get just the glass in the frame? I've looked online, and most places seem to just have the glass.

There are aftermarket "just the glass" replacements for some vehicles. I know there is a mirror finish tape (substandard by my opinion) that can be cut to fit and look proper - that seen at Wal-Mart. Don't know if it's legal.

I've just gone thru this with what I thought was a common mirror and wasn't - had to buy the whole thing $$. Auto glass places can probably make it up for you. I was going to do that with mine and next time I would. I bet the demand is high for even the ones (right side) that are convex (sp) you know - they say objects are closer than they appear type glass.

Just thought of a great idea........ Check with a mid priced used car dealer and see what they do with this stuff. You just know they don't pay for whole new mirrors all the time - shoot - I should have done that!
