kingjim; You really should find out why the SES lamp is illuminated, first. The ECM monitors various sensors, and illuminates the lamp when it sees a problem. But, to answer your question, you can disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple of minutes. The engine may not run quite right until you perform a couple of drive cycles, allowing the ECM to relearn idle stratedgies. If the lamp comes on again, you've definitely got a problem and needs to be addressed.
