Seat belt is stuck in door Sign In

Last night my husbands door got slammed on the seatbelt. The metal male end of the belt is stuck in the door and the door won't open. He tried pushing from the inside. It is very cold here today below freezing, I don't know if that is part of it. He needs to pick up the kids from the sitter and needs the belt to use on our 5 year old. Any suggestions? He has a 95 cutlass.

Perhaps? Try pushing hard on the door from outside towards latch (see other for side location) and while under force and holding door handle to release it might. That trick could damage something so AYOR. It works when a trunk is too full and slammed shut!
