I'm hearing a loud screeching noise when I start to accelerate now. I don't hear it when the car is in park or when I don't have my foot on the gas. Could this new problem be related to the last one? Just looked and only the SHO uses a timing belt - did you mean the regular belt? Seems more like the belt is loose by description - possibly wrong belt (too long) or tensioner isn't working. Could be another issue with a pulley bearing. What might be happening is the alternator normally works a bit harder right after starts and upon raising the idle and a loose belt would make noise then and might not just idling??
