SLOW ACCELERATOR 2003 FORD FOCUS SVT

Hi, I currently have a 2003 Ford Focus SVT. It's a 6-speed manual. The probable that I'm having is the car takes 1-3 seconds to take off after pressing the accelerator(yes, I'm taking my foot off the clutch properly). If anyone has any suggestions, I would be up to try it. Thanks a lot!

ford; There are so many possiblities here....Check engine light illuminated? (should be). Have any trouble codes retrieved and post them for us.
