2000 FORD EXPLORER 4.0 114,500 miles After a long issue with oil leaking they finally have "fixed" the problem and the last thing they did was to REMOVE AND REPLACE LEAKING FRONT CRANK SEAL since that repair (last week) my car now shimmies (sp?) on the highway around 69-70 I did not go faster to see if it faded at a higher speed for fear of something happening.

Katie; It's impossible for me to say for sure what happened, of course. This is only a guess, and may not even be close to being right....The harmonic balancer must be removed to replace the front crank seal. It is remotely possible it was damaged during removal, or that the oil leak damaged the rubber that holds the two piece harmonic balancer together and by disturbing it, made it worse. In that case, it wouldn't be anyone's fault, just coincedence. With that said, may not be the problem, at all. Loren SW Washington
