Replace Wheel Bearing 95 Ford Escort lx wagon

I need to replace the drivers front wheel bearing on my 95 ford escort lx wagon.
The mechanic wants $250 to replace it. I got a replacement wheel bearing from Advance Auto for $28.
How hard is this to replace? Supposedly the bearing needs to pressed in/out with a press. Does it really? I can cobble together an improvised press with maybe 1000 psi.
What else do I need to do to replace the bearing?

Should have it pressed in. the $250 if seal and dust shield suggested is replaced and alignment required really that's a fair price. From looking at Ford's procedures above this is not average DIY work,
