Repairing broken car door handle without having to replace it

I don't know how many vehicles have this same plastic piece on the inside of the door handle, but this is what I did to fix mine when it broke I threaded two nuts with a 3/16" eye bolt between them on to the pull rod and put through the hole in the handle. I then threaded a washer, then a locking washer and the nut for the eye bolt to attach it all together. Adjust the tightness to make sure the handle opens smoothly I do have pictures of how it all looks. The handle works great
