Radio Removal Sign In

Hello i'm replacing the radio in my 1994 plymouth acclaim. When i removed the panel covering the radio i noticed there was a wire attached to the panel. I'm not sure what this wire does and / or how i go about removing it. ( I stopped here in case it was like a sensor that triggered an airbag or something) I included a picture below of it. & in case ur wondering the car doesn't have an alarm.

Had an old Ply Reliant & a Dodge Aries The wire is a ground. If I remember correctly, it hooked onto the heater core cover.

Bit of a cruddy picture, but i can see that wire is an earth wire. Just strip it from the tape or whatever is around it and make sure its green, or yellow with a green trace colour. No worries.
