RX8 Mazda will not start when engine is warm Sign In

I have a Mazda RX8 2003 192 BHP. The car starts when cold and is no problem first thing in the morning. However when the engine is up to temperature it will not start until it has cooled down for about half an hour.
I have recently had a new catalytic converter but the problem was there before that albeit on an occasional basis whereas it is now a constant proble.
I have had a new set of spark plugs but it has not resolved the problem.
It seems to me as if there is no petrol going into the engine to allow it to start when warm but that is a laymans guess and you could write my engine knowledge on a matchbox!!!!!!

It's driving me nuts, any ideas out there please!!

Thank you

Steve

Could be injector leaking down quite common on rotorys. These engines are very easy to flood and hard to un-flood. Next time it dose it hold gas to floor and crank for 60 seconds turn key of wait 60 seconds then try to start. If it starts more then likely what your problem is.
