Protective coating coming off??	Sign In

Hi,
I was told the clear coat is wearing off the paint on my 94 Mazda Protege. It's coming off on the hood and the trunk and I wanted to know if there was anyway to go about getting it all off? I tried using a scaper but that doesn't seem to be working.

What coating? Are you referring to the clear coat on the paint?

Yes, the clear coat. It's wearing off on the hood, trunk and top of the car mainly and I wanted to know, how I can go about getting it all off. I used a scaper but I think that is messing up the paint also.
