I bought my used, 2000 VW New Beetle a week and three days ago. I drove it home, parked and stopped it. When I tried to take it for a drive again, it would not start. My friend helped me jump it and I took it to a mechanic. He explained that the alterantor needed to be replaced. I took it back to the dealership I bought it from. They replaced my alternator. It worked and I drove it home. Once again I attempted to drive it and it would not start. The second time around I was going to tow it, but it worked after being cooled down. The second mechanic changed my starter. The car worked for a while, but before I knew it, it was doing the same thing. This morning I tried to start the car and it worked. The last failed attempt had indications of bad key, battery check, ABS and overheating. I also noticed that when it is hot outside, it won't start, but in the mornings when it's cool, it works. Please help! I haven't been able to drive it for a complete day. I really love the car, but I can't rely on it to work. Is my problem fixable? Thank you.

Beginning from right now - does it crank and not start or not crank at all?
