We had a bad lightening storm in our area last night. I went to start my 2000 Jeep but it would not start. There is a key with a circle and a line thru it lighting up on my dash. My question is could the lightening cause my passkey/ingintion resistor to mess up to where I can't start my car. If so can this be easily fixed or do I have to have the expence of a certified mechanic? They say it might be my fuel pump but that key that is lighting up on my dash I want to say something is not right with my ignition?

I think you are correct in your assumption. I don't deal in very many Chrysler products and can't tell you if it can be bypassed. Maybe one of the others here has the knowledge to help you. OOOOHHHHHHHH Dan!! Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
