Sign In I have a 91 Chevy Corsica that is overheating. It aapears to be leaking coolant from a small elbow shaped rubber hose that looks like it connect to the heater core but there are no other hoses that look like they should be conneted to the rubber hose. The two metal lines for the heater core are connected and fine but I'm not sure what this rubber hose is for. Is it supposed to be connected to something that I'm missing ? Sign In This rubber elbow is the drain spigot for the air conditioners drip tray. The drip tray is there to catch the moister coming off of the evaporator. If the heater core springs a leak, the engine coolant ends up in the drip try and then runs out this elbow. If the heater core is the original; it’ll have plastic tubes that the hoses connect to, these tubes split and then begin to leak. The repair for this is to replace the heater core. Here’s an exploded view of the heater/Ac module. #30 is the elbow you’re talking about. Dan.
