2002 Corvette ZO6 - 18000 miles. Occasionally, every 3, 4, weeks or more nothing happens when I turn the key. Everything works, just don't turn over. Don't hear solonoid clicking, nothing. Replaced the battery after the first time and now use the new key (was told the chip on the key could be bad). It has always started after a bunch of tries, key on / key off but sooner or later it'll not go. I hate to take it to the dealer and get a fat bill and "couldn't find anything wrong". I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks to everybody! Joe

I'm sure this is the babied car that it should be. Perhaps the pos battery cable right at the starter could use a look see -- even ground end of bat cable at block. Try and get a memory saver for anytime battery is disconnected - saves on headaches.

Also consider an automatic trickle charger/battery maintainer as I'm guessing you don't drive this even every week and those help with battery life and a sharp start when you do get to take it out.

Fact is - I'm heading out right now and want to see what's out there for those - auto only for me as in must not be able to overcharge a battery.

Hope it's that simple - it's a Vette - probably not though.........

I was thinking about the ignition switch and its components beside the key chip....this could also be a anti-theft system thing tooUnsure
