New starter, still won't start

Greetings. First the basics:
2001 Jeep Wrangler
6 cylinder
150k miles
Intermittent starting difficulties for a few weeks.
I would turn the ignition, nothing would happen. All dashboard lights come on.
I would roll start with no problem.
Problem progressively worsened. More often than not, car would not start.
I went to replace battery- auto tech at store tested to 800 cold cranking amps- said battery was fine.
Bought brushes, etc. Cleaned terminals. They were bad, but I have seen much worse work just fine.
Still no solution-
*Battery fine
*terminals clean
*alternator fine - car continues to run after battery disconnect
Bought Starter. Replaced Starter.
Started BEAUTIFULLY for about 36 hours.
Saturday was the last time it cranked without being roll started.
Now it will not crank (even occasionally).
Help?

I would try jumping the wires together at the clutch switch to see if that is the problem. If not, that still leaves the ignition switch, starter relay or any related wiring.

Thank you for the advice.
I just replaced the starter relay. No change.
The ignition should be ruled out since the dashboard lights come on with the key in, correct?
That leaves only the connecting wires, correct?
Is this something I (as a semi-sharp layperson who can change his own starter/serpentine belt) can handle myself?

Oh, and I would like to 'jump the clutch switch' as this may be another culprit. My clutch is on it's last legs, and I wonder if the clutch pedal is not engaging (disengaging?) enough to let it start.
How can I do this? I can't even find the switch- I have looked under the pedals but saw nothing resembling a switch.

Don't believe it is the clutch.
Just tried to bypass the switch (on a wrangler you can take a 10amp fuse and put it in the #20 slot to disengage this feature).
Still won't start.
Only thing left is the cables, no?

I don't know where your getting any of this nonsense from. There is no fact to any of it.
Yes, the ignition switch can be bad.
No, swapping fuses around will not disable anything. You need to locate the switch at the clutch pedal, unplug it and jump the wires together to bypass it.

Sorry....I will take my nonsense elsewhere.
The clutch disengage is discussed on virtually every jeep forum I have visited today. It seems to be completely commonplace.
The ignition switch information I found on a similar forum, and it was confirmed by 2 different part stores.
I guess they weren't correct....my bad. I was just trying to get some help.

Yes, we are here to help so can the attitude.
I just looked at the wiring diagram and apparently there is a 20amp slot that bypasses the clutch switch the same way I was. The ignition switch can still be bad and there are no cables in the electrical circuit.
Test for power at that fuse when the key is held in "start" position.
