I have a Renault Megane Classic, 1.6 petrol, which is in need of a new head gasket; I have to do the work myself, so if anyone can advise me on the basic approach, I would be very grateful (I am still awaiting the Haynes guide from Amazon). Is it just a matter of taking off the head, replacing the gasket and bolting the head back on? Or what? The bolts are 'starred' are they torx? Do I need a special tool (any special tools? A torque wrench maybe?). Any advice anyone - especially about those strange bolts (they look like femail cog wheels if you know what I mean..). Thanks in anticipation. William.
