Need help with brakes

Replacing rear brake pads, but the caliper will not compress!!! Is there a trick to this? Does the bolt on the bottom need to come off???

I believe the piston screws in on these. Auto parts houses sell a generic tool that will work.
Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
