Please don’t take offence to this but it’s not that simple of a question to answer.
With you asking what you have asked, tells me that you really don’t understand what’s going on under the hood of this 87 TBI computer controlled vehicle. Yes it’s a very basic system compared to today’s systems but it’s still computerized.
Putting a carb back on this, if you found one that would bolt up, would be opening a whole new can of worms. You’d probably be able to push the thing down the road faster from the lack of power; if you could even get it to run.
As for the wire

Quote
THAT GOES FROM IGNITION TO ECU TO TBI INJECTORS.

Which one out of the hundred or so that could be stopping the computer from pulsing the injector(s)
There’re numerous tests to be performed to find out who’s doing or not doing what to whom; that’s causing this problem.
I suggest taking the vehicle in to have it diagnosed; the money you would spend dinking around would be better spent at a garage. If you don’t feel comfortable with their findings, post back here and tell us what they told you.
I think that would be your best route to go.
Again don’t take offence, you asked for suggestions and this is mine.

That great let us know what happens.
We here really don’t have a Chrysler guy that knows the older stuff. Why don’t you stick around and help out. A lot of the older methods of repairing and finding problems haven’t changed; the one thing is called logic. So jump in if something sounds familiar; it might help shed some light on a problem for someone?
