2005 Toyota Echo 1.5L 200 000 Km The engine chokes a little bit when i start it. The real kicker is when i start accelerating. It does this chocked sound while i press the gas pedal. A mechanic told me that the car is totaled. I changed the transmission oil AND the motor oil. Still it does the choking. Maybe the gas pump not sending enough juice? Here's the link to the video : https://youtu.be/QK0M_B7P43o

You mean changing the oil didn't fix everything? I'm shocked. Listen to the mechanic. The motor is junk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Well okay he didnt say it like that.. He said if it was parts of the transmission that are scrapped, it would cost me like 2000 $ so I might as well send it to it's death. He said, if it's not that, then your car is fine. So any ideas ?

With the noises coming out of that car it's time to look for a new one. Sounds like a bad rod knock.
