So, hello everyone =) I just got my 2007 ( 11k miles ) Elantra about 3 weeks ago. Right on the first days we heard a weird noise on the back passanger side tire when braking slowly. Took to Hyundai, got fixed... After a week or so I thought I heard a minor noise onje day, but it went away... Nooow, at my work, there's a driveway a bit inclined, and twice already when I put on park, take foot off brake the car JUMPS/ROLL back (like 2,3 little jumps/rolls). Mind you that my other car NEVER did that...so, I am a bit concerned.... Does anyone have ANY idea what it could be?! If it happens 1 more time Im taking to the shop, AGAIN =( Thank you for your advice in advance!!!!!! p.s.: the car is automatic transm.

What did they fix the first time? Car is too new and too few miles for normal wear outs so this is probably some damaged item with brake or rear suspension. This quick after purchase would be a covered problem by most dealers...... what does seller say? T

The first time they said somethings sometimes get caught inside the roters, something like that! To be honest I'm not sure what exactly they did!!! But this jumping just happened recent, twice. I have the warranty that covers all, but still so disapointing :(

I'm sure it's frustating but this really can only be something damaged somehow - road debris, run off road, pothole damage, a collision perhaps?? - there is no standard item that is most likely so it just needs to be looked at and damaged item(s) repaired or replaced as needed. I'm not sure how to interpret "Jump/slide" situation. It's not normal - we know that. Note: A 2007 with 11k make for an interesting used car - why is a big question! If this car was fixed from a collision or some accident depending on extent and your local laws that should be disclosed. Relax for now as repair can be properly done especially some rear damage is less of a problem for the overall car for the long run IMO. It needs to go back. If you were not informed of a major problem like an accident that's not nice by seller and could effect the total value of the car if you experience a total loss! T

Thanks! I bought the car directly from a Hyundai dealer that I trust (I had a Santa Fe before) and wouldn't want to believe that there was a damaged car, BUT, I will take it in to check. The jump/rollback is almost the same thing that happens when you drive a stickshift car and you let the car 'die' taking the foot from clutch, etc. The only difference I'd that my car doesn't 'die', it just does that jumpy effect and rolls back bcause of the little hill!
