Montero blowing fuse

It's COLD outside so I started my car to warm up so I could be toasty on my drive home and I noticed that my driver side tail lights are out. The blinker works and all that. So I got out the owner's manual and found which fuse it was and low and behold it was blown. So I buy another one and put it on and turn on my lights and I have the tail light for a bout half a second. As soon as I turned on my lights I heard the fuse pop. I haven't noticed any other problems (as of yet) but that one so far. I drove home and have stayed here tho considering it's dark out. I'm a girl and I'm proud of myself for being able to figure out the fuse thing. But as far as it being an ongoing problem, I'm lost. HELP!!

The fuse is blowing and will continue to blow because you have a short in the wiring. This could be and easy fix or a hard fix. Make sure the fuse you are replacing with is the same amperage as what was in there or recommended in manual. I WOULD: Remove the globe holder from the tail light. Depending on the vehicle of course.
1. Open the trunk, and take away the lining of the trunk from behind where the tail light is.
2. There should be screws, or a cap or something, take them/it off.
3. you should now be able to pull the the globe holder out. Common sense is going to have to play in here, as I can't see the car. So whatever is holding the globe and holder in the lens needs to be removed.
4. Depending on connector (QK, QC) check if there are any bare wires near globe, or even a wire that has popped out of the holder. You should be able to put it back in place.
5. Make sure the globe is not black or blown as well.
