Mazda 2002 Protege 5 - engine crank, no start...

I gave the all crank, no start thread a read and there it says this thread is for mid 80's cars. Funny enough, my car is a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 with the same problem stated on that thread. Thought I'd put this out there in case someone has came across this. It starts just fine on the first attempt of the day. After its driven, SOMETIMES it won't restart again with 10 minutes of being turned off - when the engine is already warm. It cranks, cranks, & cranks but would not fire. If you let it rest for 30 min or so, it would start again. I brought it to service, but they can't reproduce the problem. From what I can gather. it's not the battery, it doesn't seem to be the starter (the engine cranks and cranks and cranks) and it doesn't seem to be anything that's causing any onboard fault codes --- other than an occassional codde that says "random misfire". Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re-read that locked thread - it says 80s on up not just 80s vehicles. What of the items required for engine to start are you missing? T
