OK, that's not good news. We have to do some electrical tests now to make sure we are not losing any current to the pump. You are going to need a digital voltmeter and some long jumper wires so we can do a voltage drop test. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You need a digital voltmeter that read in tenths of a volt and jumper wires that will reach the battery in one direction and the tank in the other direction. You can watch this video to learn how to do voltage drop testing. At the pump, the gray wire is the power feed and the larger black wire is the ground for the pump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boAA6_saiSk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You are going to tap into the wires where they go into the tank. You are running 2 tests. One measuring power (pos batt) to fuel pump power feed and ground (neg batt) to fuel pump ground.
