Loud clicking; matches rpms

2013 Dodge Avenger 2.4l
Last week I was driving home, 35mph, when I heard a loud metal clunk from the engine. Seconds later my AC stopped working and there is now a loud clicking noise that matches the rpms.
Any help or ideas would be great.

Well obviously it needs an inspection but it sounds like something happened to either the compressor itself or the related belt and tensioner.
